Sorry but that is just the iphone 4 white version which is finally hitting stores across the globe. iPhone 5 wont be out till the end of the year in the ipod window. If you had the iphone 4 white just hit then 5 come out right after it would be very dumb from a business standpoint.
The screen is not actually bigger, it follows Apples new manufacturing for their screens which have a smaller bezel which allows them to have it closer to the edges.
You will find the iphone5 actually smaller in width and height not a bigger screen.
If you had a bigger screen you would either have to increase the screen resolution causing headache for all app developers and you would need to notify them in good time which is not the case and early signs in IOS development builds would show this also which they do not.
If you kept the same resolution but increased the screen size you would loose your pixel density and make your touted Retina display not as sharp.
That too would be a stupid move from Apple, It would not make any sense at all.
Ipad 3 will also follow that concept with less bezel. Apple pretty much already have ipad 3 ready to go, it will have the features pulled out of ipad 2 at the last minute.
You may see iphone5 support the new connector which works with thunderbolt if they have that all up and running well because it looks like all new imac's released soon will have the connector as well. Because it is back compatibility the speed improvements over syncing etc would help ease those complaints people have. Again because Intel are involved by the end of the year motherboards will also have the lightpeak standard on them too.
This may end up on iphone6 and ipad3.
